Who do you want to be during COVID-19?

Who do you want to be? This may seem like a big life question at the best of times, let alone when there is a global event as life altering as COVID-19 (coronavirus).

As a health professional, I sit and support people through many of life’s challenges and changes in circumstances. It is a unique and privileged opportunity to work with people during times of change and adaptation.

You, (my patients) are wonderful teachers about life and the power of deep personal growth that can occur through periods of struggle.

This is not to suggest that you must view this period as a stressful time. I’ve been in touch with many people who see this global event from unique perspectives.

Exploring Opportunities

Some people view it as a time to reset, to rest, or to pursue different opportunities for personal growth and learning.

There are people in our community who are at home, bored, stressed, lonely and emotional.

We have others (especially many of our health professional friends, referrers and patients) who have never worked longer hours.

No matter where you are currently at, these change in circumstances that we are all experiencing may be an opportunity to ask ourselves, who do we want to be.

What we cover in the presentation

In this webinar, we explore this topic, as well as allowing to explore our emotions and physical feelings. We discuss scientific research in people friendly terminology about how emotional stability underpins rational decision making.

This is particularly important given the current level of uncertainty and we provide strategies for managing this plus building resilience and flexibility in our ability to make long term sustainable changes for our health and well-being.

Explore stress management techniques and self-help support during the coronavirus.

We would love to hear your thoughts.
