Bianca Grimshaw Myotherapist

I graduated from Australian College of Sports Therapy in 2005 with Diploma of Remedial Massage and an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy.

I’ve worked in various clinics since completing my studies, working alongside Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Personal Trainers and other Myotherapists. Through this experience I have gained a wealth of knowledge of different approaches to pain and management of conditions.

In 2008 I took up a teaching position at Holmesglen TAFE. I taught a range of subjects for both the Remedial Massage and Myotherapy courses. I continued to teach and supervise in their student clinic up until the end of 2012.

I strongly believe in improving the body’s posture in relieving pain and tension. By returning a region of the body or joint to a position it’s designed to be in the muscles, ligaments and joints will work more effectively, efficiently and reduce the risk for injury or pain. Additionally I encourage my clients to take an active role in their management of their complaint through stretches, exercises and education to help compliment and maintain the improvement following a treatment.

I spent most of my teenage years and early adulthood playing State League Netball, while over the past 10 years I have been involved at the Healesville Football and Netball Club as either a player and/or coach.

Away from work I love spending time with my Husband and our two beautiful daughters and our two dogs. We enjoy spending time outside and try to keep an active balanced lifestyle. We both enjoy playing golf when we can find the time.

I have a keen interest in hip/leg complaints and injuries through my time playing netball I’ve seen or had a lot of injuries. I also have an interest in pre/post/ante-natal care, having gone through it twice with my daughters it’s a time of immense physical stress for the body and I thoroughly enjoy helping women through this experience.
